Volunteer Support Groups
IDFA is currently building a team of Volunteer Support Groups these group will be an integral part of the fundraising team for the IDFA. We are seeking interested volunteers who are interested in giving a small amount of their time and skills to hold a variety of events through the year to assist in raising much need funds to support the important work of the IDFA.
Membership of support groups range from 3 to 25 people. Most groups have a core group of up to 5, who organise events and maintain operations, and a wider support network who assist at events.
Groups generally appoint a publicity officer to promote their fundraising activities to the local media and community. They also recognise that as members of the volunteer support groups, they are an advocate of the IDFA and must operate in the best interest of the IDFA..
Events that the volunteers coordinate are as diverse as the areas they are come from and is only limited by imagination; some of the events could include, Raffles and BBQ's, Balls and Dinner Dances, Bowls & Golf Days, Horse Rides & Ute Musters, Dragonboat Regattas to Rubber Duck races.
From raffles on bus trips to rodeos and bull sales, the volunteers will all share an enthusiasm and passion for their work and assist with creating awareness throughout the community of Primary Immunodeficiency.
